Sunday Breakfast Church
If you’ve ever thought of church as irrelevant or old fashioned, perhaps think again! At the heart of the Christian faith there is a desire for sharing good relationships, both in terms of how we relate to God and how we relate to one another. And at Addlestone Baptist Church we want to express this in the way we meet with each other. By sharing a simple meal together as part of our service we’re putting our faith into practical action. We’re seeking to be an authentic community of people who journey together, love and care for one another and ultimately want to share that love with the wider community of Addlestone. Why not come and join us and discover a whole new way of exploring life’s big questions! You may be surprised just how exciting church can be!
Breakfast Church is the ideal place to make friends, develop faith and understanding, face the many challenges of today, and ultimately discover life in all its fulness. Come and experience a fresh expression of church by enjoying a hearty breakfast while also feeding your soul!
Breakfast: 9:00-9:30am approx.
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So why not share it with friends and family. The average Breakfast Church service begins at 9:00am when we tuck into a selection of cereals, pastries, toast, coffee, tea and juice; all completely free as we enjoy being community together. This is a great way to make new friends and get to know one another better. We’d love you to join us.
Worship & Reflecting on life : 9:30-10:30am approx.
How does faith impact real life? Does the Christian faith have anything to offer when it comes to the challenges we face in our generation? We believe that faith does have something to say about all of life, offering hope even in the most desperate of situations. As part of Breakfast Church we will be exploring together, through a series of short talks, the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the Christian faith and how our faith impacts everyday life.
A major part of gathering together as church is for us to have the opportunity to worship God together. We believe it is possible to have a personal relationship with Jesus, and so we seek to encounter him in the midst of our gathering. We do this in a number of ways including singing together, praying individually and as a whole, and giving God the opportunity to communicate with us.
We also have a fantastic programme for the kids at the Church for school years: Reception to year 6. For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the Children's Ministry page.
